Fundraiser Ideas

Want to raise money for protecting our K-9 heros? Planning a fundraiser is easier than you think. Below are just a few great ideas from some of our members. Email us your ideas too!

Place donation containers in local businesses, e.g. veterinarian’s office, or pet shop.

Organize a raffle or auction, and in addition to contributions from friends and family, local businesses may be willing to help you with prizes.

Start a recycling drive (cans, newspapers, ink cartridges). Its good for the environment too!

Bring out the shoppers! Hold a neighborhood yard sale, bake sale, craft sale.

Plan an exciting activity or event around something you love doing and raise money: Read-a-thon, Dance-a-thon, Bike-a-thon

Find ways to get local businesses involved. Businesses who might not be able to donate money might still be able to donate their services. Maybe your hair salon can hold a haircut fundraiser, they’ll get great publicity, participants will get new haircuts, and K-9s will be vested!

Organize a local treasure hunt and charge an entry fee. One winner wins the ‘booty’ but everyone will enjoy the adventure.

Volunteer for a coffee run/food run at work and ask to keep the ‘tip’

Foreign currency collection. Collect everyone’s old foreign coins and get them converted back to dollars. You’d be surprised how much it can all add up.

Nailbiting, swearing, tardiness – change bad habits to a good cause by introducing a Penalty Jar at home, school, work.

Who doesn’t love a party? Host a movie night, casino night, karaoke night or murder mystery dinner.

Help us spread the word

Every time someone from your community listens and gets involved, there is a better chance that our K-9 heroes will be protected because of it. So please help us spread the word. Flyer1.doc
